MEET THE TEAM

CALLIE

Having spent most of my working life commuting to London every day, the idea of My Doggy Daycare came when I thought there has to be more to life than a four-hour commute and endless meetings.

I’ve always loved animals and as a child had an array of pets, from dogs and hamsters to, at one-point, cows!

But my biggest love has always been dogs, so the decision to leave City life and start My Doggy Daycare was an easy one!

I have now gained qualifications in Canine Communicationand Canine First Aid and CPR.

FLORENCE

I joined the My Doggy Daycare team in February 2019 after making a career change from retail to follow my lifelong passion for working with animals. I’ve always loved dogs, and my working Cocker Spaniel played a big part in inspiring me to pursue a career in canine care.

I qualified as a dog trainer through The Dog Training College, and I use this knowledge every day to help create a safe, balanced and happy pack environment at daycare. This also allows me to offer informed guidance to our clients and support them in better understanding their dogs.

Alongside my training qualification, I’ve completed courses in canine body language, first aid and dog psychology. I’m truly passionate about providing the highest standard of care and ensuring every dog feels happy, safe and loved while they’re with us.

VICTORIA

I am a lifetime dog owner and dog lover who has always been genuinely passionate about animal care and welfare. I currently own a two-year-old cocker spaniel called Riley, who has been attending My Doggy Daycare since she was only 12 weeks old.

As a child you would have been more likely to find me trying to share the dogs bed than sleeping in my own - unfortunately these days it's the other way round.

After studying midwifery and working in health care most of my adult life, I began to realise that still no job had made me happier than my teenage venture in dog sitting and walking.

Being outdoors - exercising, training and working with dogs - had exhilerated me in a way no other job could. So when I saw that My Doggy Daycare was hiring, I finally decided to make my true love my career and have not looked back.

I have since completed qualifications in pet first aid, pet psychology and canine communication, and I am excited to begin my diploma in professional dog care and management in the new year.

ZOE

Following growing up loving and working with animals, I gained an MSc in Zoo Biology with further animal management degree qualifications. I originally started my career with exotic animals, including a range of wildlife such as giraffes, zebra, birds of prey and small mammals. However, after a career break volunteering in South Africa with endangered species, I am now looking forward to pursuing a career with dogs - a childhood dream - and joined the team at My Doggy Daycare in January 2025.

I have always loved and owned animals since before I can remember. Over the last few years we have fostered a number of different dogs who have gone off to loving homes.

Through my previous work, I have experience in training and behaviour and I aim to gain a qualification in canine behaviour which I look forward to applying to my work at My Doggy Daycare to improve my knowledge and care for all of our four-legged friends.

LANI

Hi, I’m Lani! I joined the daycare in August 2025 after working as a dog walker and as an educational animal handler, where I got to work with all sorts of animals. Basically, if it had paws (or even if it didn’t), I wanted to be friends with it.

I’ve grown up with dogs, cats and a whole mix of pets my entire life, so being surrounded by animals every day feels completely normal to me.

Outside of work, I love being creative and staying active, especially anything that gets me outdoors. Fresh air, music and animals are pretty much my perfect combination.

Watching dogs make friends, grow in confidence and have the best day ever is the most rewarding part of the job.

Most days you’ll find me handing out cuddles, cheering on good behaviour like it’s an Olympic sport, and leaving work proudly covered in dog hair and probably a lot of mud.

EMILY

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I spent five years as a dog walker, building strong relationships and trust with both pets and their owners, before joining My Doggy Daycare part-time for eight months and eventually transitioning into a full-time role.

I love watching the dogs zoom around during playtime and getting to know their unique quirks.

I’ve completed dog first aid and canine body language courses, which help me ensure every dog is safe, understood and well cared for.

Long term, I hope to further my education in dog behaviour so I can continue growing my knowledge and provide the best possible care. Being part of each dog’s happiness and wellbeing every day is what makes this work so rewarding to me.

SHIRLEY

My love of dogs began in my childhood, growing up with terriers who were my best friends. As soon as I married and had my own home and garden, my husband and I embarked on our first boxer puppy whom I showed, including Crufts for a few years.

Our love of all things boxer continued with us taking on a further three boxers from boxer rescue.

Our final boxer from the rescue is now in her 14th year which is quite amazing. I have learnt so much from this lady with her being born deaf which meant I had to find a way to communicate alongside the normal sign language - this has been so rewarding.

Finally in 2019, I came back from a holiday in Spain with a Spanish hunting dog, who had had a very difficult start in life, with the consequence being him having a front leg amputation at three months old. I am still learning from this chap and the goal posts keeps moving, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My background is in holistic therapies, primarily massage, but I am now looking at taking this into the doggy world and I am investigating training in the Tellington TTouch Therapy for canines.

Out of many favourite doggy quotes, one of my favourites is: “A true friend leaves paw prints on your heart.
