Job Vacancy: Doggy Daycare Assistant

Salary: Up to £25,000 pa depending on experience

My Doggy Daycare is seeking to recruit a full-time or part-time/ job-share day care assistant (able to work an equivalent of three days per week) to join our small but dynamic team starting Thursday 2 January 2025.

We are a well-established business that prides itself on setting standards in the dog daycare industry and are a leading provider in Hampshire. Our mission is simple; to give each dog their best day ever. We achieve this by providing individualised care to each and every dog in a stimulating, safe and enriching environment.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and dogs onto and off the premises

• Driving the My Doggy Daycare van to collect dogs from clients’ homes in a confident, safe and friendly manner maintaining the highest standards of care and respect

• Ensuring all dogs are exercised, stimulated and rested according to their individual needs

• Identifying and managing any behavioural or physical issues

• Cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment

• Record keeping, as required by the licensing authority, to ensure the smooth running of the facility

Skills/ attributes required:

• A love of dogs, a love of the outdoors, an ability to work in any weather and the confidence to lead when necessary

• Excellent understanding of dog/ animal welfare and a willingness to undertake training to gain certification in one or more aspects of animal behaviour

• A team spirit with a flexible and dynamic approach to work with a proven history of reliability, trustworthiness and good organisational skills

• You will be CRB checked and required to give references and must be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes

• Must have a full UK drivers licence

Hours of work will be 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
